This month's Chicago magazine has a well-researched article on how Sen. Barack Obama got his political start in Chicago. I find it important to me to know as much as I can about a candidate that I vote for and ask others to support. Page 2 of the article discusses Sen. Obama's Libertarian vs. Mandated Economics, another talking point and issue to discuss when trying to educate the Independent/Undecided Voter.

Being a Genoa resident and Democrat, I found it interesting what I received in the mail today 05/02/2008 which is titled "THE TRUTH DETECTOR NEWSLETTER" By James Coulter Mason from the direct mail company Values Message Cards 244 Tilton PK Drive, Dekalb, IL 60115, 815-375-6241, email: values1@comcast.net, www.valuesmagazine.com. There are two newsletters, one is a response to a Daily Chronicle "Letters to the Editor" which calls DEMS socialists "telling the real businessmen and women of America what they can and cannot do!" AND makes reference to how the DEMS are somehow cold-blooded killers and that "DEMS don't care about good health care, anymore than they cared about the people left behind to fend for themselves in Vietnam."

The other newsletter titled "4,000 Dead Americans in Afghanistan etc.etc.etc..." is a rant about how the Daily Chronicle is a liberal newspaper that won't publish conservative viewpoints accusing the paper of allowing "Socialist Democratic Party and all its minions" to promote the D.N.C. He later goes on to minimize the loss of soldiers drawing a comparison to the number of people killed in the U.S. yearly! References to Barack Hussein (his words, NOT mine!), gov't spending (Bush in white house last 8 years), and how DEMS will bankrupt our country.

People who support/believe in the core values of the Democratic Party no this not to be the case!

The author of this 'newsletter' is the President of Mason Properties located at 120 Annie Glidden RD. This link http://www.masonproperties.com/

Hillary keeps harping on about how she's going to be ready on day one, because of her "experience".

She's counting her husband's excellent foreign policy experience as her own.

She's saying that Obama has no experience.

Can any Hillary supporters tell me if she's stupid or just too ambitious? After all, when her husband ran for president, HE had no foreign policy experience, and I think he did pretty well with on-the-job training. Apparently, Hillary thinks he did pretty well too, if she's touting it as HER experience by proxy.

With Hillary's "experience criteria", I am as experienced as my wife in giving birth.

how many super delegates are there? In another way of asking, how many electoral votes do they control?

Also, how many states (and territory) are left to vote. As you know I support Obama and 99 electoral votes are a lot to make up plus staying in play and getting votes.

Click on this Link. Sen. Kerry is working with Sen. Kennedy to build support for legislation that labels waterboarding as torture, and illegal. Rights of Americans and Foreigners are being violated by the Bush Administrations secret terror programs. We lose credibility every time we go down this slippery slope of justifying corruption, ineptness, crime, and taking away our liberties every time we give in and say, nothing can be done to stop. Waiting till 2009 is not good enough. I am not sure Kerry and Kennedy can make progress, but they at least deserve our support. Sign the petition.

Also. Why not go to the Draft Gore website and add your name to that list as well. No candidate has the knowledge and experience and heart to make the dramatic changes that Al Gore has. We need him, and so does the world. Accepting something better than Bush, but status-quo is not good enough. What do you guys think? Otherwise...
